Norton 360 Backup at 100% but still says "Starting"

Norton 360 version 21.2.0.38.  I have multiple backup sets and they all seem to do this at one time or another...Norton 360 Backup at 100% completed but still says "starting" and goes on and on.  This happens when performing all of the backups or just 1 or 2 and even backing up to a local device.  The "Get Support" feature doesn't find anything wrong and there is no error message.  The pause and cancel buttons are greyed out but I can close the backup window by clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner.  This has been happening on and off for a while now.  I appreciate any help out there.

Win7 Pro 64 bit. Norton 360 version 21.2.0.38.  I only use Norton 360 for security.  The problem is fixed now.  I did a chat with Norton support and it's working now though I am not satisfied as to why it was happening and don't really like the idea of having to chat every time it happens.  I had already done the automated support within 360 but it didn't find anything.  The only thing I hadn't done was run a live update which did install 2 updates.  The tech said it was a server issue but there has to be an easier way for customers to fix these things than setting up a chat and getting in line behind over 100 customers...maybe having the same problem.  Do symantec servers have processes running to look for customer's backups running that get hung up?  If not, they should.  If you know of something I can do in the future to resolve this more quickly I would appreciate it.  I will try live update if it happens again.  I will close this after I reply.  Thanks.

Oh, I forgot to list devices.  It was hanging on local drives (both flash drives and USB hard drives) and online backup.  I use a wireless router so I guess I could try it with a wired connection next time.  I'm pretty confident there WILL be a next time.
