Norton 360 Blocking Capture One Activity

Hi

I have just upgraded to Capture One version 22 15.3.0 and have received a warning from my Norton 360 that a suspicious activity attempt by Capture One has been blocked. I have attached a screenshot for you to look at.

I have never experienced this issue before when installing Capture One, so looks like something somewhere has changed.

Thanks.

Appreciate you trying this, bjm_. Thanks for that, and for the link.

BShh:

I have a license for Capture One and was made aware of an update via email and ran the full installer.

as test: I ran the Capture One Trial installer.  My Norton 360 was silent.

Maybe, if you ran the new Capture One full installer over already installed Capture One.
Maybe, Norton Data Protector blocked the .tmp file created by the new installer rearranging/updating/cleaning up/ the prior Capture One build - (System32\DriverStore\FileRepository).   IDK

I was hoping to reproduce my side.  Sorry

(Apologies, I don't know how to multi-quote reply here.)

Looks like Capture One is not free -> free trial?

Curious, did you have Capture One installed and Check for Updates pulled build 15.3.0.100?

Or, did you run 15.3.0.100 full installer?

When you mention trusted installers, are you referring to Norton's File Insight when determining this trust?

Trusted by Norton &or Trusted by user

Thanks for that. Looks like I'm going to have to temporarily disable Data Protector.

FWIW ~ I've needed to temporally turn off Data Protector for .tmp files created by trusted installers.
