Today all of sudden I cannot FTP any files to my server and I cannot access any of my websites in any browser.
When I looked at Norton it says the website was submitted for further suspicious analysis. I contacted my webserver hosts who say that all of my websites are accessible and working fine.
- Do I have to unblock the website that is showing up inside Norton? If so, how do I do this.
- This particular website that Norton is having a problem with has always run perfectly and is a publishing website and has no malicious software.
- What would happen if say a customer of mine was trying to access my website and had the same problem with Norton!
Thanks.

That is why we all love computers.
Well, hmf that didn't last long. The same thing happened again.
I surfed around the net and read various bits and pieces but no real solution. In the end I came up with the idea that it must be something to do with the router blocking the FTP and browser visits to this one particular site. I logged into the router, sniffed around there for a while, seems like a lot of gobbledeegook, decided to uncheck the Firewall option.
Went to pour the coffee, came back - browser comes up with the site, FTP working like a charm. It is now 16:54 and we are still happily going along...
Note: The firewall option comes with the router. Perhaps it was having an issue with Norton?
I must mention that I did restart the router a number of times, the last one being for more than a minute to clear the whatsis. So, I don't have a definite solution to what I did as I tried numerous things, including disabling Norton firewall for a bit. Norton is now back on and everythng seems to be working OK.
