Norton 360 Breaks Device Manager

Normally don't post on forums like this but frankly, Norton are a joke.. Auto renewed the security product, 3 user licence at £54.99 when you can buy a 5 user licence on Amazon for £20... took two hours on the phone to get them to sort, 2 mins to order on amazon.....

Installed ok but after a week I noticed that no apple devices would auto play, but did not correlate this with Norton. Diags showed that although all devcies would synch via iTunes, they did not show up in windows explorer although sd cards and external usb drives were fine. Firthe digging showed device manager completely empty, tried loads of fixes, have spent hours inc downloading every fix for Windows 7 available, then just as a thought I deleted Norton completely. Device manager fine, auto play now fine, pc now working brilliantly.

Cant see anyone else having same issues, is there some setting in norton that knackers the plug and play?
