Norton 360 can not start Web browser

Norton 360 Ver 22.19.9.63 on Win 8. All links on Norton to Internet are either dead or say "could not start Web browser". Live Updates, New Version Check, etc do not work. Links in emails or Google search open browser just fine. Power Eraser and reinstall did not help.

We have fixed this issue with Norton Security 22.20.5.39 for Windows. Could you please let me if the issue persists? Thanks.

Good idea, but no success. Changed default from Chrome to Firefox. Still get message: "Norton 360 could not start your default Web browser"

Perhaps change you default browser, restart machine, then change default browser back again.

No success using Win+X and Restart.  Even worse today--can't manually update virus definitions from Broadcom web site that I was able to do before. It's almost like Norton firewall will not let Norton itself connect to a browser, although all other applications can.   

Have you restated your computer? Not shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled.  If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.
