I have just tried to install Norton 360 2014. This involved uninstalling a trial version of AVG. Having done this, part way through the installation launches Internet Explorer which then fails with Internet Explorer Stopped Working messages plus Windows has tried to restart the tab. The installation does complete and N360 is usable (scans etc) . However, IE is unusable. I have restored my system settings to the back up taken after AVG was removed and IE is fine proving it is the Norton installation causing the problem. I am on a Sony Vaio laptop running 64 bit Windows 7 and IE ?Version 11.
