Have a customer with WIndows 7 installed with Norton 360. Computer would boot to the point of just a black screen with cursor. ALT CTRL DEL does nothing. Safe mode works and I using msconfig to stop the Norton 360 service from loading and the computer booted fine.
I uninstalled 360 and system boots fine. I re-installed 360 and it worked fine. Only after installing Norton Updates and Patches did it go back to the black screen of death.
Fully scanned the system for malware and viruses. Nothing found.
Has Norton sent down a bad update or patch?
