Six months into my pricey two-year subscription to Norton 360, it became apparent (thanks to a friend's assessment) that the root cause of slowness, sluggishness and endless freezups and crashes on my PC was none other than Norton 360. In short, it is a shameless CPU hog. Uninstalling it and using Windows Defender in its place totally eliminated the detailed problems. Norton, true to its long established money-grubbing ways, refused to refund me a nickel for the 18 months left on my subscription. What exactly is it that would endear me to this company? They also scammed me twice through a stealth renewal of an annual contract, using my credit card info that they had stored. This is something their lawyers assure them is legal, no doubt, but was done both times without my even knowing I had (supposedly) consented to it. I'll recommend to my friends, and in as many reviews as I can write, that purchasers choose a more ethical company than this one.
