Ever since I renewed my Norton subscription ( on notebook computer and android) a few weeks ago I have been getting a message (alert) on my android phone to turn on my Norton 360 Service. I never turned it off but just clicked on to renew my subscription and both my computer and android phone were renewed, but I have ever since renewal gotten the above alert. So today I went on my phone and under Privacy turned on VPN. I don't know if that is what I should have done and if that is what is meant by the alert I got on my phone to turn on Norton 360 Service. I have never had to do that before when I did my Norton subscription renewal. Was that what the alert on my phone meant?
Don't worry about which forum board you posted in. We are quite flexible here.
If you are still seeing these messages I would suggest reinstalling your 360 on the phone. Uninstall 360, then restart your phone and then reinstall and activate your 360 and test to see if you still see the messages.
I am using moto g stylus 5G. In the Norton 360 settings in the Privacy section I have Auto VPN turned on. When I tapped on Settings in the My account I then tapped on Privacy and turned on Auto VPN. So when I tap on the Norton icon on the Norton home page on my phone it says under Security You Are Protected, under Identity it says Monitoring and under Privacy it says VPN on.
I just checked, and it says "Norton 360 has full service to your device." And below that "Norton 360 Services can view your screen, actions, and inputs, performs actions and controls the display." No, I did not reinstall 360 on the phone when I renewed.
