I had the same problem with Edge and after different attempts I found a solution that works for me.
Go to Settings and click on Safe Web. On the drop down un-check HTTPS scanning (first line).
Launch Edge again and see if it works. It did with me.
How is it they are the only security company to mess that up? You were more help than support was…
Edge is working again for me (without changing anything).

Thanks for the post. Edge would not load securing sites like banking and credit card sites. Your post helped resolved the issue…thank you.
