Norton 360 Firefox Issue

Lately I’ve noticed the login manager will just stop working. It won’t fill in logins anymore. I checked the windows event manager and see this error:

Faulting application name: ccSvcHst.exe, version: 109.0.3.4, time stamp: 0x4b86e0bf Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16559, time stamp: 0x4ba9b29c Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0002e1fe Faulting process id: 0xa9c Faulting application start time: 0x01cb1b7f962c7075 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton 360\Engine\4.2.0.12\ccSvcHst.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll Report Id: c8b32989-8872-11df-8128-000129a4a3f6

Obviously rebooting solves the issue, but I’d much rather fix it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Windows 7 Premium 64 bit

Can you please try if the same happens in Internet Explorer 8?

Norton 360 toolbar doesn't even show up in my IE 8

If you are using IE 8 (64-bit), then Norton Toolbar won't show up. You have to use 32-bit version of IE 8. As the faulting module is ntdll.dll, download the latest Windows 7 compatible driver for the graphic adapter from the manufacturer website. Check if the problem persists and let us know the results.

Okay, the toolbar is loading in non 64 bit IE. Now how to get ccSvcHst to stop crashing?

Hi Kupotek,

Have you tried reinstalling Norton 360 (with the Norton Removal Tool provided that Norton 360 is the only Norton product on your computer)?
