Issue abstract: Norton 360 Smart Scan Issue
Detailed description: I’m no longer able to run a manual Smart Scan after the update to 26.6.11050. I have an automatic scan set up to run once a day. However, I like to run a manual scan periodically throughout the day, specifically if my pc has been inactive for a while. After this latest update, it keeps telling me to see the details of the last scan. That begins an endless loop that results in a push to get me to subscribe to Norton Anti Track. There is no way to clear the results. The only way to get out of it is to close Norton completely.
I am not going to sign up for Anti Track. I’ve opted out of receiving notifications in my settings menu, but the offer for Anti Track still comes up every single time. Does anyone else have this issue? I’ve about had it with this. I’ve used Norton for more than ten years, but I’m about ready to make a change.

I just checked my installation of 360 ver 26.6.11050 and I still see option to run a manual Smart Scan from the home page. Be sure you have restarted your computer after the update to 360.
As for the upsell items, they are hard coded into the 360 product. For some time now, it seems that the Norton marketing department is running the show.
FWIW!! Smart scan appears in my UI as well, mirroring your post peter. I DO NOT run Smart Scans ever for the sell-up reasons. Run it once and it will nag you until the cows come home.
That’s how my installation used to look (sometimes) before the update. I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled it, restarting my PC after everything was finished. No luck though. Thanks.
This is related regarding the issue of NAGS when running Smart Scans and just in general. These are coded into the product.
Search from the left side of the UI menu- Keyword NAG, the info in the first screenshot will present itself. A small icon will appear where the empty arrow is, click it.
