As of today, I upgraded to Internet Explorer 8. Unfortunately, when I launched Norton 360 Version 2.5.0.5, everything seems to be 'out of whack'.
Note: I'm not using Internet Explorer 8 Beta or the Release Candidate editions.
Now, I have the following problems listed below -
- Norton 360 Version 2.5.0.5 shows a message that "Your browser is not set to detect fradulent websites or to authenticate genuine web sites"
- The buttons on the Norton Identity Safe toolbar doesn't work properly as it should. When I pressed the button 'Identity Safe' or 'Log-ins', nothing loads up and it seems like that I didn't pressed any of those buttons. Don't assume that my mouse wasn't working properly, all the buttons that I press work perfectly fine but why not the buttons on the Norton Identity Safe toolbar? Why!?!?
As of writing of this message, I reverted to Internet Explorer 7 so I could log in and write this message as I didn't know what my username or password was which was plain ridiculous.

I know there is Norton 360 Version 3, but I can't afford to download it because it will just take up my internet bandwidth usage away. When I run out my subscription in around four months time, I will buy the disk from the store and install Norton 360 Version 3 on my computer. But for now, I want the solution solved. I have already wasted approximately 10 megabytes on Internet Explorer 8 and I can't afford to waste anymore.
So, how do you fix the problem so that the Norton Identity Safe toolbar works properly in Internet Explorer 8?
I remembered that the Norton Identity Safe toolbar works so well in Internet Explorer 7, but why not Internet Explorer 8?
Also, please do not give suggestions like use a different browser (Firefox), or use a different password-storing add-in that supports Internet Explorer 8. I prefer and have the trust of using Microsoft and Symantec products, and also I don't want to take the risk of losing my identity from a fake password-storing add-in.
Thanks for your help.
P.S. - I would love to see a Symantec employee answer my message.
