Norton 360 Issues with Windows Update/Only Protection Windows Firewall/Subscription About to Expire

I have one Norton subscription that is for 3 systems for 2 years.  I have noticed on 2 of my systems I had the Windows Update icon in the system tray and it was for the same update (Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool November 2010/KB890830)

I then clicked on Download.  Then at some point I got the following message:

Windows Update

Some updates were not installed

Failed: 1 update

Error(s) found:

Code 80200053   Windows Update encountered an unknown error.

I have wuapp.exe set to allow in the Program Rules of my Firewall and I have the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender both turned off on both systems so they will not interfere with Norton on both systems (one has Vista and the other is Windows NT 6.1).  I have even tried disabling the anti-virus/firewall software on both systems and I still get the same issue.  I cannot figure out if it is a Norton issue or Windows issue since they use the same Norton product with the same version on two different systems made by two different manufacturers with two different versions of Windows.  I have the most recent version of the Windows Update application.  I had to remove Norton to get updates from Microsoft.

I ran FixTDSS.exe and it told me:

Suspicious use of kernel callback but MBR apears intact.  Repair not done.

No infections were found

Then I ran Live Update and I am up to date

What I don't understand is:

Suspicious use of kernal callback but MBR apears intact.  Repair not done.

No infections were found

What language is this.  I know it is not English.  If it was I would understand it.

What do I need to get Norton to allow Windows Update to work instead of giving error messages.  I only have Windows Firewall on since I cannot use Norton and my subscription is about to expire and I do not know if I want to renew it if it is going to be an issue with Windows.

What is the issue and how do I fix it.

Now there is NOTHING in Program Rules

As programs seek access to the network and to the internet, Norton will recreate the rules automatically.  Make sure Automatic Program Control is turned on.

What is that

It lets Norton configure firewall rules for applications needing internet access.  It is located in your Norton Smart Firewall settings.  It should be ON by default.  If you find that it has been turned off, re-enable it.
