Norton 360 Liveupdate hangs up in processing updates

Today after checking for and downloading updates which took about 1 second, Norton 360 liveupdate stays in processing updates forever over an hour.  I never had this problem until today.  I use windows 7.

if you use IE9, please turn on Compatibility Mode for the Norton forums. We have some issues here with standard mode, and we can not read your message unfortunately.

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and updated it back to 5.0.1.4 and it is working ok now.
