Since I installed my Norton 360 (10 months) it make my machine slowdown about 40%. sometime I can't do multi windows. Plz note my pc is a very good one and containning 4GB RAM 1 year old. Sometime I do nothing but TASK MANAGER said only Norton 360 is running and used...95% physical memory + 100% CPU. That means my machine is dead and it can only turned off.
Talk this to my friends they mentioned me that was Norton 360 problem. Is that right?
The “old” (2008) engine of 360 is little bit slow and sometimes makes unnecessary precessor work (like NAV/NIS2008). You can wait for the 3.0 which will have the same light engine as NIS2009 has, or when your subscription is off you can go to Norton Intenet Security 2009 (don’t do that when you like that 360 makes everything for you (NIS is not automatic like the other, it needs some interaction), then please wait for the 360 v3.0 version, it will come soon).
Well i don't see why.. norton hardly uses any of my RAM or Processor.. i have 3GB ram and quad core processor and it's fine here doesn't slow down the computer whats so ever..
and that seems weird that it would use that much :|

Run disk cleanup within N360.
Thank you for replying guys, in my machine there is one more software named PC tool Registry Mechanic. I have use both this and Norton regular for scanning/tunning. Most times my Registry Mechanic found and fixed some error which Norton can’t.
