Norton 360 Makes my system freeze when I do virus scans

Every time I boot up a virus scan, it freezes around 4,000 files scanned. Not only does Norton itself freeze, but my entire system freezes as well, meaning that I can't do anything while the **bleep** thing is frozen.

I was wondering if anyone could help me here. Something to do that will make sure Norton doesn't freeze my system down and make me have to use Malwarebytes more to check my computer for viruses.

No, it does that even when I do a quick scan. And I would like to be able to do quick scans, at the very least.

Hi arentil,

Do you have any other security software installed?  If so, what products?

You tried the quick scan under "Reputation Scan" ? I didn't mean the computer scan option i meant the Reputation scan option.

Pardon me if that's the one you tried.
