Norton 360 Multi-device

I tried activating my Norton 360 Multi-Device. The program won't allow it. It says (in my own translation):

"This program is Norton 360. Your verification code is not valid for this program."

Is Norton 360 and Norton 360 Multi Device two different products?

Hi Asger,

May I know in which device you are trying to install Norton 360?

The Norton 360 multidevice can be used to install on any 5 devices that have Windows, Mac or Android operating system. You are getting Premier Edition of Norton 360 for Windows Operating system when you purchase Norton 360 Multidevice, which comes with 25GB of Online Space. The Standard edition of Norton 360 is a different one with 2GB of Online Space. So, you cannot use the activation key of Norton 360 Multidevice to activate Norton 360 standard edition. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks,

HarryP

Asger,

Apart from the non-interchangeability of N360 / Multidevice keys what devices did you intend to install N360 MD on?

Please do study the Comparison Chart that lakshmanan refers to since I find the impression given by N 360 MultiDevice to be throughly confusing if not misleading when it gets to other than PC/Mac devices.

Protection for any combination of Macs®, PCs and Android™ smartphones and tablets

I had the impression that it gave the same protection to Android based devices as N360 gives to Windows devices but if you study the Comparison Chart it seems that the only protection on Android devices are antitheft

Prevents strangers from using your device if it’s lost or stolen and even helps you find it.

Shows you where your mobile is so you can locate it instantly.

Lets you remotely lock, locate, and wipe your phone via SMS anytime.

Remotely snaps photos of anyone in front of your mobile so you can see who has it.

even after reading:

Protects PCs, Macs and Android™ smartphones and tablets.

that seems to apply only to PCs and Macs and it's only when you get down to the very end of the comparison that you see that what we regard as the function of Norton (IS, AV, 360) which is protection against malware etc does not apply to Android devices.

While AntiTheft seems only to apply to Android devices.

Hi pinkdragon

I don’t know if it’s possible but the place to ask and then do it if its possible is live chat (using the keyboard) with a Norton representative on the link below.  May I suggest varying the times you try to connect if you fail to get a response.

I currently have Norton Internet Security for 5 Macs with auto renewal.  I am only using it on 2 Macs right now.  My sister has a PC that I would like to add. I have several questions.

1. I tried to get the Product Manual for Norton 360 Multi-Device, so I could get my questions answered, but no such luck.

2. Since, my NIS just renewed in April, is it possible to get the PC added on or buy Norton 360 Multi-Device at a discount price and cover my 2 Mac and my sister’s PC?

3. I know that my software for the Mac includes 5 pieces: Norton Internet Security, Antivirus, Firewall, Identity, and Live Update.  Are these pieces included in Norton 360 Multi-Device?

Thank you, Helen

As intesec notes, you should contact Support via chat to ask about switching your products.

For question 3, All the features of NIS are incluced in all versions of 360. The difference is the added utilities and the backup feature in 360.

You may want to consider Norton One instead. That will give you the ability to use NIS, Norton 360, the mobile security apps and also 25 GB of online backup space. That also includes premium support. You can view details in the store here.

A chat session is the best place to verify if you can switch but it also depends on how far along you are in your current subscription.
