History:
I've been using Norton 360 for years on three computers flawlessly. Use this computer for security intense items like banking etc. Last release upgrade (not update) months ago, did not auto download properly and so did not perform back ups. Got support assistance and they fixed that problem for free. They said "The drivers did not download properly". I was suspicious of there being other potential issues not detected.
Then, Google chrome started acting up. Uninstalled it then, reinstalled it. Encountered adware and so uninstalled it again. This shouldn't be happening as there were no selections or tick boxes for any options for things of this nature with the down load. Something is getting through undetected. 360 can't be working properly. Got support. They charged me for the support!!!
About a week ago Windows did an Auto update through the evening and Norton 360 is not working again and is turned off. CTS PC HELPDESK icon can not connect and Norton support link can not connect and Norton dialog box says "Your computer may not be protected". There was an error code: 8504 101 when I attempted to fix it via the 360 program but it would not resolve. Called support and spent an hour doing this and that with little success and we could not connect to Remote Technical Support. Now I am waiting for a tech to call back within a 2 hour time window. I am not having fun with this.
Why am I paying for this support when the issues started with the product not downloading properly in the first place and my other two computers are working properly with the Norton 360 product?
