Norton 360 not crashing (randomly closes)

ok i tried the norton removel and did everything that is like my problem but it is still crashing. i also uninstalled it completly and reinstalled it. what should i do?

ok i keep getting this error 8506,421. i did everything and after i restart my pc and open norton 2 min. later it closes.
i have windows 8 norton v6 in english. and i had this problem for 2-3 days now
i did not have a problem with norton internet security but since i bought 360 i been having this problem.

Its worth trying the latest N360 version 20.2.0.19. I presume you actually used the Norton Removal Tool (NRT) since you used NIS before N360. Do you have or have you had any other AV product installed? Is Windows Defender disabled? If all else fails you can try Norton Power Eraser.

im using 20.2.0.19. i looked at windows defender and it said it is disabled and the only thing protecting me is malwarebytes. i used NRT and NPE already, should i use NPE again?

You previously said you were using Norton v6. You never previously mentioned using NPE. Are you using free version or trial of full version of Malwarebytes?

I dont think you should use NPE again but advise what NPE found if anything,

i read the what my norton 360 box said. when you told me i should update to 20.2.0.19 i checked on norton before it closes again and it said i was running it. im using the free version. i will is the NPE again to see

No dont run NPE again.

Sorry the order in which you did things or the manner in which you upgraded is unclear to me. Alas I can only suggest the following which I know is a nuisance.

Run NRT reboot, run NRT a 2nd time, reboot. Then download and install from here

If still a problem, then post back here and perhaps someone else can advise.

It was working but It stopped again :/  now any ideas?
I did what you said then I did a full system scan. After the scan told me to restart for the update so I did but it still stops

So you used NRT twice. When it stops, how does it stop? Does the icon disappear, is the machine frozen or is the machine still useable?

You could try reverting to the earlier version and then turning off upgrade and not upgrading to latest version. I think the 2012 product is more stable. The only way I know to resolve your issue is to take a crash dump of the system when Norton closes. I could give instructions for that but the problem is that Norton then has to interrogate the dumps and I cant get them to do that for me let alone you. So I think there is a solution but I am powerless. So sorry I cant help further.

Yes and when it stops Norton closes and the icon disappear. So I guess it is a waiting game for me until someone replies
