Norton 360 not detect tracking cookies again... and the update?

It happened several months ago, but then somehow the issue was solved by itself (or looked like it was)... A few days ago it started again. And today, I found an update for Norton 360 and I updated, hoping that maybe it will solve the issue... But seems it does not. Just hoping that it won't become worse, instead. My Norton 360 was version 6.4 something... and now... the version is 20.2.0.19? Do I really need to remove it and reinstall it?

Honestly, I'm quite frustrated with this matter... I subscribe with norton, expecting for best protection with no hassles... But then this? I hope the issue - whatever it is - can be resolved as soon as possible so that we, all norton subscribers, can have protection that works properly and constantly.

Thanks.

I am seeing the same lack of tracking cookies being found using Firefox.

I started IE 9, browsed to a couple of sites, and ran a Quick Scan. It found cookies again.

So I would say that Firefox has changed something in the way it handles cookies.

Just curious, what happens if you deselect the Firefox "Tell websites I do not want to be tracked" option in it's Privacy settings?

In my opinion. it is better to prevent tracking cookies than to have it found on the computer.  Here uis agood video to show how to enable do not track on internet explorer 9, firefox, and chrome.

Just tried that, and there was no difference in the behavior. Firefox did not collect cookies. Browsing the exact same sites with IE 9, I had 8 cookies.

it's certainly a change in Firefox I had the same results as you ran IE and tracking cookies

I guess it's onto firefox it's not a norton issue at all

I assume firefox is still keeping the cookie settings but somehow has changed the way it deals with or stores tracking cookies completely

I'm happy one less thing for norton to find !!
