Norton 360 not installing on my smartphone

Hi there, I recently purchased the norton 360, cos it said it would go on a smartphone, It does not go on mine.

When i try and install it, i get the message that says "sorry, you are not authorised to download this product at this time". Am i doing something wrong, am new to this forum. I have a HTC One XL mobile phone, which i thought was a smartphone.

Thanx heaps

Welcome,
Can you tell us a bit more about the details of the copy of 360 that you bought? Is it for more than one device?

Thanks

Hello there, thanku for replying so quick.

I bought Norton 360, version 20.2.0.19. from the norton australia site, don't know if it is the new 2013 version, thought it was. Its not the multi device version.  It has three licences.

Hope that helps a bit

Mel

In your first message you said << Hi there, I recently purchased the norton 360, cos it said it would go on a smartphone, >>

Can you say where you saw that? Is it on the packaging or did you read it somewhere and then go and buy it or did they tell you in a store?

The traditional Nortn 360 only installs on Windows devices but there is a version called Norton 360 Multidevice which provides:

Security for up to 5 devices in one combined solution.

Norton 360™ Multi-Device   [link to Norton Australian website]

  • Protection for any combination of Macs®, PCs and Android™ smartphones and tablets
  • Tracking and recovery for lost or stolen Android mobile devices

so I wonder if this is what you thought you were buying but did not get?

Can you let us know about this.

If you bought the wrong product don't despair since Norton have a 60 day moneyback warranty so you should be able to get a refund and get the MultiDevice version.

Oh my gosh, i am so sorry to have caused this error.  I obviously read it wrong, now understand about the 360 multi device.

So yes i did buy the wrong product, can i pls get a refund on the other one and get this multi device one, do u guys do this or do i need to ring someone

Thanx so much for helping me with this

Mel,

I think your best bet is to contact the Norton OnLine Support Team via the CHAT route which uses the keyboard and see if they can sort this out quickly for you -- they may be able to cancel your subscription to the standard N 360 and issue the Multi-Device one for the difference between the two.

To contact customer support Click on this link https://www.norton.com/chat  and work on from there.

That should get you to the team for Australie (in Singapore?) and make sure you point out the price cut $149.99  $109.99  on the Multi-Device one on the website I linked you to -- go to it and print it while it's there!

Please let us know how you get on ....
