I can't reply to other threads so I'm creating a new one.
Version should be N360-ESD-17-6-0-32-EN (can't see anything since it updated)
Since a few weeks, impossible to get Norton 360 to work properly on Windows 7 x64, Lenovo T530. After installation it's fine and at the next reboot it's not working correctly: icon disappears from the notification area, when trying to launch anything it says "ccIPC.dll is either not designated to run on Windows or it contains an error".
Uninstalling the RapidBoot doesn't solve the issue.
Impossible to uninstall, either from the "Uninstall a program", or from the Norton 360 menu itself, nothing happens.
How can I remove this faulty software? I'm not keen on reinstalling Windows, especially since Lenovo doesn't provide the discs.

Welcome, Try using the NOrton Remove and Reinstall Tool
If the nrnr tool that dickevans suggested does not work, please check your programs for Instant Restart - it is another program that comes installed on some Lenovos that causes the same affects as Rapid Reboot.
I could finally uninstall N360, but re-installing it (after the RapidBoot was completely uninstalled) leads to the same exact problem: N360 updates, then I reboot, and it's not active anymore.
If I insist clicking on N360 - live update, finally I'm presented with a "One Click Support" that says "You have received the following error: 3042,1". If I click on "View the solution" though, it suggest I use the Norton remove & reinstall tool. And so I would just go back to the re-install method, which I already tried without success.
Since there is virtually no support from Lenovo either, that's promising. What is weird is that Lenovo pre-install their computers with Norton, only another product.
EDIT: another iteration with the Norton remove & reinstall tool, which apparently took on itself to download a new version of N360 (not sure which since the info is not given, it's a 20.3.0.36 from the path, maybe there's no real product version number anymore).
It seems to resist a reboot. Hopefully it's not much heavire a beast than version 4, I had to go through all the menus to remove the bloatware again though.

I am going to guess that the other Norton Product was Norton Internet Security. Prior to installing a different Norton Porduct it is suggested to uninstall the previous product, reboot, run the Norton Removal Tool and then install the new Norton Product. This procedure is essentially a clean install of N 360 (you are just removing NIS first instead of N 360). Please double check your Control Panel > Program & Features and ensure the "other Norton Program" is not present.
First did you check for a program named Instant Restart? If not, please check and disable/remove it if present.
At this point in time I would suggest a clean install of N 360:
If you use Identity Safe for your Logins, please back it up (export) the data so it can be Restored (Imported) after you install a fresh copy of N 360.
Plese remove the copy of N 360 you have installed, using the Control Panel uninstall via Programs & Features.
Once installation is complete, open N 360 and manually Run LiveUpdate as many times as necessary for it to respond "no more updates found". If a reboot is requested, reboot and then continue to Run LiveUpdate until it responds "no more updates found" and then reboot one last time.
Once totally updated, don't forget to Restore/Import your ID Safe data.
