Norton 360 on Old Computer - How do I move it to my New Computer?

I just bought a new HP laptop and have the 90 day Norton Internet security program that came with the device.  How can I move my Norton 360 (or reinstall it) to my New laptop?

Hi, tmblanchard,

Welcome to our community!

From your computer with Norton 360 installed, make sure that you have set up and can access your Norton Account. Under the "Products" tab, you should see your current Norton 360 subscription with the number of licensed installs you have remaining...and a big, yellow "Download" button.

Once you have verified that you can get to this, go to your new laptop, and uninstall the 90-day trial of NIS using Windows Control Panel (Add/Remove). Reboot when this is done, then download and run the Norton Removal Tool. When this is complete,, reboot once more and log back into your Norton Account from this new computer. Click that big yellow Download button and install your Norton 360; it will automatically be activated to your current subscription, with your remaining subscription days intact, when you do this. Run LiveUpdate manually, rebooting as directed, until it tells you that you now have all the latest protection updates.

That should do it! Keep us posted along the way, should you have any other questions or find something that's not working exactly as I've said that worries you. We're here to help until your new laptop is protected by "the speed and power of Norton!" :smileyvery-happy:
