Norton 360 Online Backup

I'm trying to complete my online backup and I keep receiving this error message:

"There is a problem connecting to the Internet.  Make sure a connection is available."

There is no problem with my internet connection, otherwise I wouldn't be able to post this message.  I've been trying to complete my first online backup for about a month now, and I'm getting increasingly more frustrated.

Sorry you waited so long to ask for help. What is your operating system and the version of your Norton product? Also, are you having any other problems which might be Norton related?

Unless you manually selected to backup the application you wouldn't be able to restore it. The backup service was designed to backup data you create. All the preset rules are set to cover common data categories such as documents, music, financial documents and more.

 

There are inherent copyright laws that prevent any backup service from outright offering the backup of actual applications. Also doing so would likely not work, unless it was the main installer, since the settings and associated files can be scattered all over the system.

 

If you mean something else or need assistance with restoring something else please clarify.
