Hello again.
I'd like some critical feedback of the two attached screenshots (Task Manager and Procees Explorer).
Both were taken prior to my monthly system maintenance tasks. The system was quiescent at that moment.
I configure Norton to be as unobtrusive as possible (no auto-update, manual scans etc) but the data still
suggest very high system load (in my opinion).
My subscription is due in a couple of months so any comments from the community would be appreciated.
Best Wishes
Sal
Your Task Manager image shows zero CPU, but a lot of I/O use. That would be expected as Norton examines every single file and process as it is accessed on your system to check to see that it is safe. That is how an AV product works. This also translates into Norton showing the highest amount of CPU time overall. An AV product is going to use more overall CPU time than any other single process or app on your system.
Nothing in your images looks out of line.
Hello Sal, please re-post the screenshots using this guide. Opening a pdf file has its security risks, most users here are wary of that. https://community.norton.com/en/forums/how-post-image-forums-0
