Norton 360 Premier Activation

I have run Norton 360 for past two years.  Last month I clicked to renew and seemed to get ver 5 premier edition as my only option.  Paid and clicked to download and install.  Seemed to have got locked into an endless loop of clicking the download button no matter which way I approached it.  After tearing my hair out in frustration and going away on hols, now back and need to get this fixed.

Keep getting messages saying my Norton product has expired and I have no firewall or virus protection etc etc, yet when I go to check my Norton products it says "Your Norton product version is up to date".

I have a Norton icon on my desktop which tells me that it has expired.  The Customer support pages tell me to click on the activation button but there is no activation button on right hand bottom corner as described - could this be the old Norton icon?  If so, how do I get the new one?  There is a new icon saying Norton Installation ...  but clicking on this brings up a short list of installed files.  What do I do now??

Hi, Argh (boy do I understand that!) LOL

Take a look at the options offered in this thread from a few days ago:

First, try Vineeth's list of steps. If that doesn't work (or is what you've already tried, i.e., the button that isn't there for you, then try the solution offered later that worked for that user--uninstalling and reinstalling through your Norton Account, where your new subscription will be showing.

Good luck, and let us know how it works out!

Doing an over installation of N360 over older products does not often work seamlessly.  In the case of a version change, it is better to save logins, remove as per instructions and do a clean install.

Thanks Delphinium and DistEd2.

Finally resolved matters by using the Norton removal tool and then it all worked like a dream.  If only I'd done all that hours and hours ago .....

:smileysad:

You're welcome. Glad everything is in order now and all is welll.
