Norton 360 Premier - Auto Download of New Version setting and "phased release" update v.21

For some reason, my email address was not recognized today so I had to re-register.  Thanks for the welcome, Tony, but I've been around for a few years.

I'm running N360 Premier V 20.0.4.40.  I have "Automatic Download of New Version" checked in my Settings.  I have not received any recent updates.  Today, during routine tuning and cleanup, I opened 360 and clicked "New Version Check".  I was directed to Norton site and page "A Product Update is Available" with Download option.  No more information is given- no version information for the update.  I looked around for current version information and found a November post about an update "patch" - v. 21.1.0.18 and its "phased release".  Today is December 9.

1.  Should I have received this "phased release" update via Auto Download of New Version by now?  If yes, what could be the reason(s) why I have not?  I need to know whether I can rely on the Auto Download setting in the future?

2.  What version am I being prompted to download on Norton's Product Update pages?  Is it 21.1.0.18?

3.  Why not identify the version info on the update page?

Hi, mgf2013. Symantec is updating us all to the latest versions to make them easier to support.

I'd say it's unlikely further update sizes will be that big, as you'll just be getting the normal Pulse Updates etc.

You may wish to uncheck the automatic update to new version function, if you don't want this to happen, in the future.

Thank you, F4E.  I still don't know whether I should have received the 21.1 update by now through Auto Download of New Versions.  I DO want that feature to work in the future.  I guess I will keep that setting turned on until/unless I miss another update.  These Auto Update features need to be reliable and that's what I'm concerned about right now.  Thanks for your help.

Hi, mg2013. You can always right click on your tray icon, and check for new version, anytime you want to manually check.
