I am not having issues with the product - I love it! - but my renewal date is coming up and I was wondering if there was going to be a 2014 edition of Norton 360 Premier anytime soon or if I should just get myself another 2013 edition. Thank you in advance.
Hi nerdwriter
The 2014 version of Norton is now called v21.x.x.xx and is available now.
If you have an active subscription to Norton (2006 or newer), you can update to the latest version forfree. To do this, go to the link below and selectUpdate Me Now. You can also upgrade to the latest version of Norton through the Norton user interface, click support, click new version check and follow the prompts. Both of these methods will perform an over the top upgrade which will allow the local vault/identity safe to remain local, if it is already set up that way, and not be transferred to online.

Then run live updates as many times as it takes to get, no more live updates, restarting as requested.
You might like to backup the personal data and just in case you’ll need to backup or export in both formats your identity safe and any other users identity safe if it is used, before doing the above.
You can purchase the 2013 version of Norton 360 premier but the Norton 360 standard key will not work with the premier version.
You can use the Norton 360 premier product key to renew the subscription using the Norton user interface, where there is a renew link that will open a window and below the yellow button is a link that says I have a key or code to enter. Do this one-day before the subscription expires, as it is easier than allowing the subscription to expire as this person discovered on the link below.

The last part sort of confused me but I can see where my own phrasing was missing something. I just meant that if I got a new Norton 360 Premier Edition (2013) - as in: new disk, new product key - if that would get upgraded to the 2014 edition (which looks like a "yes") or if there was a new version coming out that I had to buy separately in order to get the upgrade. I hope that made better sense. I'm still sort of a newbie when it comes to technology.
Hi nerdwriter
It is a yes you can use the new key to renew the product but you can upgrade to v21.1.0.18 now, which is the latest version. Norton allows the subscription to be upgraded for free if you have a current subscription. So it doesn’t mean that the 2013 purchased product is locked to that version only.
To check the version number of the Norton product, you can find this by clicking the Norton icon, click support, hover over, about, on the window that opens; the second line down is the version number.
Use the above process in post 2 of this thread to upgrade if you would like to.
If you have any questions please ask?
