Norton 360 (Premier) won't detect external USB drive(s) for backup location(s)

I recently purchased the 3-computer Norton 360 Premier package.  On each of the three computers, Norton will not detect my external USB drive as a backup location.   Can anyone explain this to me?

Hi Junglerat,

Which version of Norton 360 are you using? (Check it in Help & Support > About)

What is your Operating System?

What is the make and model of your USB drive?

Is your external USB drive showing correctly in Windows Explorer so that you can access and use it?

Some info:

1. I'm running N360 v3.5 on Windows XP Pro w/SP3

2. The external drives are (a) Western Digital 500g and (b) Maxtor 750g one touch.

3. And, even though my computer recognizes both in explorer, even my 17g flas drive isn't being recognized.

4. The only backup location options Norton presents to me is (a) CD-DVD Drive and (b) on-line storage,.

I know it isn't showing your ext drives but it should be showing your C drive - is that not in the list of backup locations.
