My last renewal subscription for Norton 360 v 5 only cost £42 but I have just received a subscription renewal reminder for £69. As far as I can tell they are for the same product - why the huge price hike?
Hi
Beware of renewal offers. These offers are always designed in such a way that they cheat the unsuspecting customer. Remember to remove your AUTO renewal option. Search for a fresh license elsewhere. You will definitely get a better option.

While you should always check retail special offers, renewals are not cheating since they do offer some advantages.
I see a wlll known UK online source offering it for £40 .....
Havy you checked in your MyNortonAccount by clicking on the Special Offers link?
Also contact the Norton OnLine Customer Support via the CHAT link as below since they may know of special offers that may be available to you ..... Norton does like it when users keep on coming back!
To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there. You may have to scroll down a little to see the CHAT button.
Feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
Please let us know how you get on ....
PS If you do find a good non-Norton source make sure you cancel your Norton AutoRenewal -- check that out with CHAT also

Please show me the proof of your statement!
I think I have the answer - I discovered it just today myself. If you have a user account with Norton, once you access it , it will show your products, order history and your profile - your purchased/downloaded items along with renewal info. On this page, to the far right, top, just under your user name, you will see a greyed out box which says today's deals special offers from Norton. Click on it and there you will see the reduced cost - I believe it is about 20% off. I purchased the 2-yr subscription 360 v5 premier at $139.99 + tax vs the full price of $174.99 + tax. It was great. I had to call cust svc (India) to ask for the rebate since I bougt the full priced product first before realizing the special offers box - they were quite knowledgeable as well and understood what my request was and I got my $43 refunded. Good experience all in all. Hope this helps you.
Thanks for confirming that both Special Offers and the Norton OnLine Customer Support are helpful in this ......
Unfortunately my NIS installation Special Offers does not offer a deal today for NIS (except for the Mac) but that's one reason why I suggested asking Customer Support as well.
