Hi all, I have a blog that teaches parents how to keep their children safe online. But I found one morning that Norton 360 on android wasn’t allowing access to the URL (stating it was a known malicious website).
I did some research and discovered I could go to safeweb.norton.com to check the URL status of my site. It listed it as unverified (grey with a question mark) so I clicked the section to submit a dispute and received an e-mail confirmation on Saturday 2 Sep confirming the website has been re-evaluted and its rating had been successfully changed. The website is listed as safe and under the education category.
I then tested the URL by doing a google search for the domain on the desktop it now displays green ticks and you can go through to the website as normal.
However when I search for the website on google using chrome on my mobile phone (I have the Norton 360 app installed). Norton 360 says “Malicious Website Detected” and “we recommend that you NOT visit this known malicious website.” The only options are to click “Don’t Visit” or “Visit Anyway” (which allows 30mins of access I believe).
I used sever URL scanners and found both URL void and Total Virus came back with CRDF listing it as detecting malware. So I got in touch and explained they were the only engine that flagged any issues and on Sunday 03 Sep they agreed it was a false positive and it would take about 4 hours before their database was updated. The URL void updated their database fairly quickly and after getting in contact with Total Virus on Monday 4 Sep they updated their database also now both list the website as 0 flagged detections across their engines. I have scanned the website for malware using Hostinger’s built in malware software (which came back clear) and have a lifetime SSL certificate for the website.

However it has been a few days now and I am still having the same issue with Norton.
On the desktop when I search for the website through google using the chrome browser, I see green ticks from the safe search extension listing the domain as safe with green ticks and allowing access. However on my mobile phone running Norton 360 for android when I search for it using google running the chrome browser and try to click through it is still flagging it as a malicious website (with the same dialogue box as described above) even though it is listed by safe search as a safe website.
I have tried closing and re-opening both chrome and Norton. And checking for updates. But the problem still persists. If I turn safe search “off” on the Norton for android app it allows access to the website. But as soon as I turn it back on it again blocks the website.
Please could someone help with this issue. Thank in advance.
