Norton 360 says subscription expired, won't update definitions. Just renewed in JUNE!

I  need some help! I have been having computer issues with my desktop for a couple months and have completely lost my patience! Back in June, I renewed my Norton and upgraded to 360 from NIS. I have to admit, I'm not very good at keeping up with updating the definitions because my internet access is so limited. My computer's been acting up, and this week I got a message from N360 that I really really needed to update my definitions. Fine.

When I open 360, the home screen says I have 226 days remaining. Same thing on the Account tab. BUT when I click to run LiveUpdate, it says it will not update because my subscription is expired.

I was going to uninstall/reinstall, but I think I bought the software online when I renewed, and due to my limited internet, I don't want to have to download any huge files. I'm limited to 5GB data per month, and here lately, my internet has been kicking me off every 5 minutes.

I have a laptop running the freebie Norton Antivirus for now (just bought it a few months ago, coincidentally shortly before my desktop started acting up!) and it runs just fine, and I have very little problems staying online. But I have to have my desktop back up and running.

Can someone please give me some direction? I would appreciate any help you could give me.

Thanks,

Anna

Really? That easy? Done, verified my days left. What causes this discrepancy?

I was able to run LiveUpdate, which literally took seconds. Odd, as it's never run that fast before. Ran a scan, again, done in seconds. Found some bad files, but I need to figure out what they are, and how to get rid of them. Ran a diagnostic, working on some stuff there too.

Thanks for your help - I can't believe that part was that easy. :/
