Norton 360 Scan Failure

Windows 10 Pro, Norton 360 Premier
Following a LiveUpdate download yesterday evening and the application of a patch which was included, I restarted the computer as directed.  I started a Full System Scan.  When I checked it's progress later it had stalled very close to the end and never completed.  I was unable to close the scan.  This morning, I attempted a Quick Scan and Full System Scan which stalled at the Initialize step and again the scans went to a Pause state and the windows would not close.  I checked the Norton 360 Premier version and it is the most recent.  I attempted the AutoFix which found an issue and supposedly corrected it but the scan problem was not corrected.  I downloaded the NortonMountRepairTool which was unable to correct the Registry.  I then downloaded the Remove and Replace tool as directed and it will not run.  Also, I'm unable to delete these two tools because it appears they are somehow being shared by Norton Premier.  I checked the OS and it is up to date and no corrupted modules were found.  Any suggestions?
