Since Monday of this week the Secure VPN in Norton 360 will not connect. The notice I receive is " secure vpn is currently unable to connect". I have tried every recommendation to fix this, even reinstalling Norton 360. The VPN worked after the last Windows update. The only other update was Norton 360. I do use VPN quite often on my laptop when I'm away from home. Not having it compromises my security. I did connect support through the chat app but they were of no help. Appreciate any help on this. Operating system is Windows 10 with latest updates. Thank You.
After giving up on using Norton VPN I was able to connect to the VPN on all my computers. Nothing was changed on the computers, so I assume there was a problem with Norton. Whatever the problem was, it now seems fixed.
Even though the windows update was installed about two weeks before the VPN problem, I went ahead and uninstalled the windows update. I did not fix the problem. The problem started right after a new Norton product update was installed. I've given up on it for now and installed a free VPN. It works fine. Thank you to those who tried to help me.
just found this

Thanks for the reply. I did try what you recommended, but it didn't help. I even reinstalled Norton 360. Today if I continue to press the VPN connect button it eventually went on. Sometimes having to keep pressing it at least 10-15 times for it connect. As you can imagine, this can get very frustrating.
you may of tried these
auto fix in classic mode top right click help than on left click get support ( first and best option)
in scans at bottom diagnostic report let that run and should be all green or will state what it finds wrong
