Norton 360 site verification

Newbie here with a question.

I have Norton 360. when I do a google search most of the results come up with a Norton "Safe Site" green check mark. My sites come up with a grey question mark as untested. How do I get them to come up"Safe Site"?

www.nosaracr.com

www.casadememphis.com

are the two sites and the search result is  "Nosara Beach House"

[edit: Clarified subject.]

Hi Memphis, welcome to the Norton Community :-)

I have asked a mod to have your post turned into an independent thread of its own for the sake of more exposure and support ( you don't have to do anything for this process).

About your websites: have you gone through the verification process? You need to register at Safe Web in order to have your websites verified. Please check out this link for more information:

Yes, you have to go through a specific verification process and sign up at Safe Web in order to get your website verified. After verification, it can take between 10 and 14 days for your website to be evaluated and receive the appropriate symbol/checkmark.

If you experience any difficulties during the verification process, please do not hesitate to inform us of this by posting back over here :-)

Hi Memphis,

Did you go here:

https://safeweb.norton.com/signup

The website you have indicated is invalid.

Did you also read the information in this link which I posted in my previous message?

yes I went tere and signed up. Just can’t find the the sign up feature.

Did you follow these instructions from here:

1. Verify Ownership

Signup for an account with Norton Safe Web if you haven't already done this. On the "site dispute" tab of your profile page, click on the "Add site" link and enter your Web site address. You will receive an email on successful registration of your Web site. Please follow the instructions in the email carefully to . Once you have completed the steps mentioned in the email, click on "verify" (next to your Web site name) to establish ownership. You will not be able to submit a re-evaluation request unless your ownership is verified.

I got the code for the owner verification and went to the website account that I have at Go Daddy. I called Go Daddy and talked t their people and was told that there was no way I could post the code in the root folder due to the way the web builder product is structured. Is there a Meta Tag way of posting this?

There are thousands of Go Daddy websites so I can not be the only one having this problem.

Please follow Phil_D's instructions in this thread since you cannot access your root folder/are having problems with accessing your root folder:

Also, besides adding the meta code to your website, please indicate the full address of your website over here, that way I can request assistance from someone from the SafeWeb team to verify your website, since the meta tag method is not an automated process.

After you have indicated the full URL of your website, I can flag your thread to the attention of the SafeWeb Team.

Thanks Yaso,

I have added the code to the meta tag file.  Here are the four sites.

www.amazonangling.com

www.worldwideangling.com

www.nosaracr.com

www.casadememphis.com

Thanks for your help.

M

Thanks Memphis,

Have requested that the SafeWeb Team be notified. Please be patient; it's the weekend, and someone from the SafeWeb Team will most probably check back here on Monday.

Hi Memphis,

Just noticed that the authentication codes can't be found/do not exist in your first two websites; can you add the codes to them, please?
Message Edited by Yaso_Kuuhl on 10-25-2009 12:02 AM

Hello Memphis,

I also cannot see your nortonsw authentication code in the first two sites listed.

Additionally, I have a question about your first site trying to run an add-on.

I would like to send you a Private Message. Please look for the  pm-icon-notify.gif  icon in the top right corner of any forum page.

Thanks!

Hi. I receved a message on another thread to say my post was moved for better exposure. It lead me here but my post is not here. Trojan was helping me out in pprevious thread. I wanted to verify hypnotherapysolutions.biz and i know it may already be in the hands of the safe web team, but i just wanted to check because i received 16 emails from this forum; 14 of them lead me to a deleted thread.

garymcrath, your thread can still be found here: http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?message.uid=164505#U164505

Memphis had a topic posted which was moved to it's own thread. Please feel free to continue your discussion in your original thread!

Hi Memphis,

We have verified ownership for your sites 'casadememphis.com' and 'nosaracr.com'.

We could not find the auth code in a meta tag for the following sites.

amazonangling.com

worldwideangling.com

Please let us know when you have added the auth code in these sites as well.

In the meantime, we have queued all these 4 sites for analysis.

They should get rated shortly on 'safeweb.norton.com'.

Moved to own thread for better exposure.
