The error began on installation of latest Norton 360 with Smart Firewall. I turned off the firewall for 15 minutes, the error went away then a new one came back when the firewall became active again.
Task '<name>@yahoo.com.au - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings. The server responded: -ERR [SYS/TEMP] internal server error (#OCF013)'
The error may revolve around predominantly pop servers as less errors noticed with IMAP, exchange or outlook.com syncs.
Mail servers used are pop or smtp.mail.yahoo.com 995 or 465 on SSL
This will test ok in outlook. However errors occur when live downloading
It is believed that the content of the download messages are to blame as the firewall is blocking downloading links and faulting the sync
The observations are supported over the long term
