Norton 360 Standard kills my Dell Windows 10 Computer

I have just purchased Norton 360 for all my devices. The installation went smoothly on my Dell laptop running Windows 10.
However, after rebooting, Windows would not start at all and I had to boot into Safe Mode. All options led to the same result: the computer no longer worked.
Only resetting the Dell laptop made it possible to work with Windows 10 again.
Question: What is Norton’s solution?
If there isn’t one, I will have to cancel the purchase.
Thank you.

@MRAD Welcome to the forums. Installing anti-virus software and it causing a device to become unusable usually has its source lie within other issues entirely. There are so many questions needing asked before any attempt could be made to determine what the what actually is, as well as why is the why!! Please allow us to ask the following and follow-up with your responses. Norton may or may not be the actual issue:

-What is the complete model number of your Dell laptop?

-Were there any attempts to upgrade to Windows 11 before and/or during this issue appearing? If so what method was being utilized?

Was the previous install of Windows 10 updated to the latest release version 22H2 and build 19045.6216? Or was it on an older release?

-Did you get a BSOD screen with a stop error code? If so do you have that information?

-Did your device have ANY other antivirus software installed prior to installing Norton, and if so, did you remove it prior to installing Norton?

-Did you have any other 3rd party tool installed, such as disk management tool, defragmentation tools, etc?

-Did your computer exhibit signs of infection or hard drive file corruption, prior to installing Norton?

Thanks in advance
