Is there any way to configure Norton 360 to improve compatibility with Lotus Notes client v8.5?
If my Lotus Notes client (v8.5.2) is running when Norton 360 executes its "Windows Temporary File Cleanup" then the Notes client can no longer open attachments because the N360 tuneup task deleted the temporary directory that Notes was actively using:
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Temp\notes327EC1 in this case
The only solution is to stop and restart the Notes client or configure the background tuneup tasks to completely exclude the "Windows Temporary File Cleanup". Is there some way to configure N360 to improve compatibility with the Notes client without having to disable the temporary file cleanup?
Additional information: I have had other types of Notes client failures that also occur just after a N360 tuneup or scan/repair. These occur on 3 different systems, all running the same version of the Notes client and the same version of N360. This type of problem has never occurred on other systems with the same Notes client but a different security product.
