I uninstalled Norton 360 without first deleting files that were backed up online. What will happen to these files? Are they automatically deleted? If not, is there any way that I can delete them? Some of the files contain information that I want deleted, and not sitting around in storage somewhere.
You can delete the files once you reinstall the Norton 360 program. Through the Backup Settings in Norton 360, you can navigate to backedup data and delete the previously backedup ones. You can otherwise contact the Symantec Technical Support, and they will assist you further.
Thanks for the reply. I do not wish to reinstall Norton 360 at this time. I am unable to contact customer support without a valid key, which I do not have, since it was a trial version. All I have is my login and passworld. Any other suggestions?
When you uninstall norton you have an option called Norton Custom Uninstall which will Remove your Norton product, but retain settings, preferences and passwords for backup, Norton Identity Safe ,Norton Antispam and parental controls. When you install the product again this option will automatically brings your login and password , it will prompt for your Identity Safe password after you install the product.
Another way of retaining the logins and password, befor you uninstall, Goto Main UI> Settings> Identity Protection >Backup Identity Safe Data . In this option you can have a backup of all your Identity safe data in .NPM file format and you can restore the same once you install the product.
2. Log-in with your Norton Account username and password.
3. Choose your 360 Storage in the list.
4. It should list all your files you have on the server.
5. Delete the files to your Online Storage Space.
If you are unable to do it, you have to contact the Technical Support. I don't think that you have to enter the Product key for Technical Support Chat, only order number(if you have) you have to enter and that too is not a compulsory one. Here is a screenshot for Support Chat registration.
