I’m sure one of the experienced contributors will respond to you shortly. Meanwhile, have you tried running LUALL with Sym protect tamper protection off first. Just an idea!

I have the same mistake since some time:

Because this mistake seems with many users, it would be important that he is repaired.

vers: 2.2.0.2

In the Firefox 3.0 the Norton strip becomes without graphics registers and into English.

Sym tamper protection? Wheres that in options?

It is under settings

I’ve only got “Phising Protection”, “Identity Safe”, “Automatic Task Popups”, “Norton Community Watch”, and “Automatic LiveUpdate”

I  think this thread is the same as mine started on May 30 and called Live update N360 v2 and BTW no solution yet

Could you provide us with a screenshot of what you see under “Settings” for Norton 360 v2? Also, be sure you are logged into the OS as the Administrator. Thanks!

Thats what my settings page looks like.

where did you download your Norton from?

I downloaded the demo from symantec website and then inserted my key.  I also have the addon kit installed.

Are you logged in as the admin? The missing settings seems a bit odd. Is there anything atypical about your system or the configuration? Thanks!

Yep I'm logged onto the only account on both computers, it has full admin and UAC disabled.  My laptop shows the same options under settings and it works fine.  The computer is pretty normal it's Vista Business x64, the laptop has home premium x64.  The services are tweaked on both but nothing that should affect Norton.  The only thing I can think of is Security Center is disabled, but its the disabled on the laptop which works fine.  They both have SP1, but really nothing a standard power user wouldn't have that I can think off.  But as I said the computers are almost identical in software/OS settings minus one being Business and the other Home Premium.  They both got installed from the same downloaded exe at the same time.

I mean its overclocked and has a swiftech setup on it, but the OC is completely stable...Orthos can run more than 24 hours so thats not the issue.

Short of reformatting and trying that I'm out of ideas and at the moment I really don't have the time to do that.

If you are still having problems updating to the latest version of Norton 360, I would recommend reading the following thread:

There is a workaround we are testing, and it may help to resolve the problem for you. Thanks!

The work around fixed my problem, thanks!
