Norton 360 V24 on Windows 10 is CONSTANTLY blocking internet access at random. Eventually, when I troubleshoot the connection issue, I get a DNS access denied reported error, The only fix is to access my router from another computer and restart the router to clear the error, but it always comes back. This was never an issue with the previous version of Norton and is not an issue after removing Norton 360 V24. This also does not seem to be an issue on Windows 11? In addition, when I do get Internet access with Norton 360 V24, the Internet Speed Test shows a drop in speed from 430Mb/sec without Norton 360 V24 to 100Mb/sec with Norton 360 V24 installed. This is through an Ethernet connection.
Hello Eric. Are you referencing the Norton VPN? Is Norton giving you the DNS access denied message or Windows? I’ve haven’t heard of nor have seen on my network where Norton changed DNS values on my router, my ISP nor any of my PC’s. Have you checked your Windows host file to see whether there is an entry there that shouldn’t be? That seems to be the issue from my perspective.

I am not using Norton VPN, I use NordVPN. I have to enable NordVPN to access the Internet when Norton 360 V24 is installed.
Thanks for the post back. My apologies for being tardy. We have been up to our ears with a spamming campaign since Saturday.
Go into Windows Services and set the process for Norton VPN to “manual” start and reboot the machine. I have done that, it helps me with not having unnecessary network issues.
