Sorry I forgot to ask this question.
If I buy Norton 360 v3.0 of a third party company (Amazon) would this still enable me to get a free upgrade to v4.0 when its released or would I have to buy of the Symantec shop and will it work on Windows 7 (64 bit)?
This is no problem :-) The only thing that is different is the store; the product is the same :-D You can buy Norton 360 from amazon.com and upgrade for free to version 4 when it is released. About Windows 7 64-bit compatibility: Norton 360 version 3.0 itself is not compatible with Windows 7; Norton 360 version 3.5 is fully compatible with Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit).

The installation package of Norton 360 version 3.5 is not available on disc; it is only available via LiveUpdate for Norton 360 version 3.0 and on the Symantec website at the following download links (depending on which edition you will buy: Standard edition or Premier edition):
Norton 360 Standard Edition 3.5
Norton 360 Premier Edition 3.5
When you install Norton 360 version 3.0, run LiveUpdate in order to download and install version 3.5.

You're welcome - just added some information on Norton 360 3.0 and 3.5 availability. Note that only Norton 360 version 3.5 is fully compatible with Windows 7 - version 3.0 is not. You need to run LiveUpdate to receive the 3.5 compatibility patch before upgrading to Windows 7 (if you are upgrading from Vista to Windows 7).
Please read the links I have indicated above, that way you are completely prepared for installing your Norton product properly on Windows 7.
Norton 360 version 4 is fully compatible with both bit versions of Windows 7.
