My name is Ken and I am writing on the behalf of a friend in the UK. She would write to you if able but its not possible as far as I am told.
Story is, she has been having problems with her computer which she is still running Windows XP and she had Norton 360 installed on it. The other day it seems she got a message from Norton that she need to use Norton Power Eraser to remove some threat. When she started the process she said at some point something happened and Norton vanished completely off her screen. Her computer then started to misbehave and she just turned it off. When she tried again the computer she looked in Windows help and support and found that there was a System Restore button so she pressed that and when the computer had done it was working fine, but there was no sign of Norton on her screen. She went to look on control panel, and found that there were no icons there at all. I was speaking to her just now on Skype and she tells me she also tried to install Norton 360 via her Disk that came with the product, but when the disk is in, nothing shows on the screen. So she does not know what to do and I am not IT savey so to speak so any one out there can they lend a hand in what might have happened or what she should do. She still had 114 days left before renewal.
Many thanks Ken Hunt.
