I recently had such a bad time with 360 in upgrading to the above version that I was on chat with two different people from 11:00 A.M until 3:00P.m. All seemed fine for about one week. Then I noticed my computer had slowed to a crawl again. I checked live update and couldn't run it because the message said it was already running. I went to settings, then tried to click off live update. No go. (Other things in the list would turn on and then off b ut not live update.) Finally I shut down my computer and hit nortons as it was booting up and got to settings and was able to successfully turn off live update. Now I am afraid to run it again for fear it will hang up my computer and I don't have another four hours to sit with live chat. I'm using Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, version 2002, service pack 3.
Has anyone else had this problem? I see many posts where people couldn't get it to run or it ran forever.
Yes and no. (Sorry) The yes is when I click on applications, it reads that LuCallBackProxy.exe is often takes a great deal of CPU. My computer gets so bogged down that I can only slowly open one window at a time. (We have checked and no viruses or trojans lurking around to interfere. All temp files and cookies are cleaned daily.)
The no part is I have just had everything updated to version 2.3.1.4 from live chat. They also removed all of my old Nortons while they were updating. I should let you know that I teach English and this is not my field. I am trying to be as thorough as I can though.
Does this seem to be the same as (click here)?
