Norton 360 Version 21.1.1.7 and Settings Changes

Hi, all.

 

Having just installed version 21.1.1.7, I went straight to Settings and noticed that some settings have remained as they were (as I set them, not by default), such as Boot Time Protection (set to Agressive) and Early Launch Anti-Malware Protection (turned on). 

 

However, others, such as Internet Explorer History (or maybe it was Windows Temporary Files, I didn't make a mental note before applying changes) and Firefox Temporary File Clean (or maybe it was Firefox History Cleanup, again I didn't make a mental note before applying changes) were turned off, even though I had turned them on in the previous version. 

 

Question: If version 21.1.1.7 was a fresh install, how come some previous non-default configurations were kept and others were not?

That's unfortunately fairly normal with N360.

 

All your other settings should remain in place when upgrading but you will need to open Settings > Task Scheduling and check the tasks you want enabled.

Yes, I've noticed this happening prevsiouly in NIS as well.  So I knew this occurred frequently but wasn't totally sure that it was normal till now.

 

Well, I can now sleep soundingly.  :smileyhappy:
