I recently had to reinstall my wireless network adaptor as I lost Wi-Fi connection all together (this was done with the assistance of Lenovo support team). Since I install a new driver, the Wi-Fi works again but I can no longer connect to the VNP (Connection Error; Secure VPN has experienced a connection failure, please try again later). I deleted and reinstalled Norton 360 several times without success, I also went through Norton's problem solving. I then deleted the Symantec TAP Driver thinking it might be corrupt but have not been able to reinstall it. I the contacted Norton through the Chat line and they had me do several things which should have resolved my issue. I have had no luck so far. has anyone had the same issue and resolved it?
A week or so ago I started getting this same error when starting (manually!) the Secure VPN.
Message is:
Connection Error
Secure VPN has experienced a connection failure. Please try again later.
I have the same problem with the My Norton 360 VPN. I went thru the guide steps then it worked. The next time I tried using it I got Error 809 connection failure again. I have been on chat a few times. I go thru the steps as directed and sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Very frustrating. Just a crappy app!
JonJW:I have the same problem on my Dell laptop running W10 version 2004. Norton VPN used to run ok but now gives no connection error message try later for about a week now. I have uninstalled / reinstalled Norton 360 7 times in the past few days using every method suggested in similar posts and I have tried other recommendations such as changing country etc but the no connection error re occurs every time as soon as I click the turn on VP button.

Awesome!! Glad you have a solution and things are working again. Glad we could help. Happy gaming and stay healthy!!

Thank you!
Used RNR like you said and disabled fast startup. Got it working now! Going to tell the advanced team when they reach out to me that SoulAsylum already solved it! :)
Before getting 360 for gamers, did you have another Norton security product? If not, be sure you have fully removed that product with the removal utility for that software.
Hello Gamer18. The TAP driver isn't required nor installed with the current generation of N360. I do not have it installed on any of my machines, all are running current Norton product. Are you up to date with live updates? Do you have fast startup enabled? If so, please disable it, here is how. Make sure you reboot for it to take affect on the system.
Is Nord VPN fully removed? Did you use the R&R tool to remove your Norton product, AND, used the advanced setting in the tool to perform a REMOVE ONLY scenario? If not try that. Get a full uninstall and reboot. Reinstall your product from within your Norton account. Make sure you get all updates available and reboot after each set is installed when it prompts you to reboot or not. Reboot one final time and recheck connectivity.
Cheers
