Hello – I don’t use it that much but this week I am on holiday amd connected to the public wyfi at the facility. N360 on my android phone noted that I should turn on my vpn — but I kept getting the message that the “server was offline” I call support and they gave me some weird reason the public wyfi that I was on was blocking ports. This made no sense since my computer connected to the vpn with no issues.
So I logged on to my norton account with my computer and scanned the QR code with my phone to install a new copy, It seems that vpn has a separate install, but I first installed N360 – I still got the mess that the servers were offline, I when back to the QR code and installed the vpn,
Once the VPM on he phone installed It came up and connected to the servers with out any issues.
So just to confirm did Norton pull the VPN out of N360 and make it a separate android app but forgot to remove it from N360??

What is the error message you are seeing?
If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:
Norton did not pull the VPN feature from the mobile version of 360. There have always been the 2 apps since Norton started providing a VPN. The standalone version is aimed at users that do not have or want the 360 app.
This sounds like something you need to log and send to Norton for diagnosis.
Open the 360 app and tap the three bars at the top left. Tap on Settings > General, and scroll down to the Logging section. Turn on Enable Debug Log. Then continue using your device until your issue happens again. After the issue has happened, go back to the Debug Log settings and then tap on Send Error Report with log files. In your submission please include "forum ‘your username’ " in the Case ID section of the report. Also include a link to this thread. You can turn off logging when you have sent the logs.
If you do send logs, please let me know and I’ll notify my contacts to look for them.
Generally it is recommended to use the 360 app’s VPN feature. Occasionally, as you happen to be seeing, there can be an issue with the 360 app. If you are seeing no issues with both apps installed, you should continue to use the standalone on the mobile device.
Hello – Thanks for your reply — I was on the phone for over an hour with support and they could not come up with a solution — then I read your post. It seems the general “fix” from support is to reinstall the app — which I did 2 time in the span of 12 hours and that was all just big waste of time
I followed your suggestion to turn on logging, but when I got to the “general” screen there no logging option there. This is a link to the screen shot of that page
Thank you for a detailed explanation of the issue. Do you have a case number with Norton support by any chance (feel free to send it to me via Direct Message)
I am in Morocco and having the exact same problem on my Android. The VPN works on my computer. On my phone, the VPN will not connect at all, secure connection or not. When I try to change regions, I get a try again later message. Haven’t had this problem before on many visits here.
