Norton 360 VPN Stopped Working and constantly resets

Norton 360’s VPN is constantly on the VPN stopped working screen and in a loop of reseting and failing to get anywhere

After my subscription to utilities ended, I installed my copy of Norton 360 and, was greeted with the constant VPN stopped working bug, I have tried multiple resets of both PC and Router, checked the connection (other laptops on the same connection are working fine)

Running a Windows 10 PC and this is my constant VPN screen

W10 22H2? will you upgrade to W11?
installed your copy of Norton 360 from your Norton account?
what security solution before you installed your copy of Norton 360?

~ have you tried calling Norton LiveUpdate + Restart (not Shut down) machine?

~ have you tried Norton 360 → Troubleshooting?

fwiw ~ my boiler plate:
If your Norton is not working as expected and you’ve tried Troubleshooting → Reset to Default &or Repair Norton & clean re-install Norton 360…then…reach out to Norton support here.
Note: Reset to Default resets Cloud Backup

==============================================

Download and run the Norton 360 Remover tool for Windows here
Note: at this time…I’m not finding Reinstall as per DocID: v20240301142500636

fwiw ~ my Norton 360 Remover tool preference is Remove only…with scour File Explorer for remnants and CCleaner - Registry - Scan for Issues + CCleaner…back up the registry before making changes.

fwiw ~ were my machine = I’d clean uninstall Norton 360 → clean install Norton 360…as test.

Unable to connect to VPN on my device here

Win 10 22H2 (not planing to upgrade in the near future if i can help it)
No I uninstalled norton utilities with the remover and then installed 360 from the website download
Before Norton 360 was norton utilities

Tried restarting and troubleshooting

reached out to Norton Support but sadly i dont have a lot of time to go into it right now so i’ll have to do that in a day or two

CCcleaner might be a good shout , will have to try it when i get a chance

?
Norton Utilities is not security solution.

apologies it was norton 360 with norton utilities , copied only part of it

@GW22 Check your Windows services, make sure your running service for Norton VPN is set to run automatically.

Just got to this this morning , I have tried uninstalling with the NRnR reseting , running CCleaner reseting, and then reinstalling and sadly the issue persists

Oddly the service is set to automatic but not running , it will run when I right click and select start howerver , though even when i do the issue persists

Hi there.
I have the same problem.
None of the above helped.
When I completely uninstall the program, including deleting the backup copy of the settings, after restarting and reinstalling the product, the program restores my settings (which I also deleted). And the VPN still doesn’t work.

The newly released 25.8.10387 update they are slowly rolling out resolved my issue , dunno if you’ve been updated to it yet so that might resolve it for you when you get it

My updates are installed automatically, so I just checked and I already had this update. The VPN still isn’t working. May I ask what exactly you did?

Sorry i don’t have all the methods i tried written down , because i tried a fair bit before the update resolved it , from what i recall , I tried validating windows files to ensure there were no errors there , updating windows , using the norton removal tool to make sure it was cleanly removed before attempting a reinstall , reset my router , updated bios , graphics card drivers, flushed DNS and a few other things i don’t recall, sorry i can’t be more help.
