Norton 360 won't fix browser protection

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this message.  I am not at all tech-savvy and have never used one of these forums before.  I have just renewed by subscription to Norton 360 after letting it lapse for a few weeks.  It has downloaded successfully but I keep getting an alert which says "your browser is not protected from intrusion attempts".  I've tried to run the fix several times but I get a message saying "fix not complete".  I'd be grateful for any advice on how I can fix this problem.

Thanks for your reply.  As it happens, the usual solution of just re-booting the computer worked.
